한석우 코트라 트리폴리 무역관장

리비아에서 근무하는 한석우(39) 코트라 트리폴리 무역관장이 19일(현지시간) 피랍됐다.

20일 외교부와 코트라에 따르면 한 관장은 현지 무역관에서 퇴근하다가 괴한에 의해 납치됐다. 괴한의 신분과 납치 목적은 아직 알려지지 않았다.

한 관장은 2012년 7월 트리폴리 무역관장으로 부임해 현지 인턴 직원 몇 명과 함께 근무해왔다.

정부와 코트라는 긴급회의를 열어 피랍 경위와 한 관장의 안전 여부, 납치범 파 악에 전력을 쏟고 있다.

한 관장은 2005년 코트라에 입사했으며 트리폴리 무역관장으로 근무하기 직전에 는 이란 테헤란 무역관에서 일했다. (연합뉴스)

KOTRA regional chief kidnapped in Tripoli

A representative of the state-run Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency was kidnapped by an unidentified group in Tripoli in Libya on Sunday (local time), officials in Seoul said on Monday.

According to the Foreign Ministry and KOTRA, Han Seok-woo, chief of the KOTRA’s Libyan office, was abducted while returning home after finishing work in the capital city. It was not still known who the kidnappers are what their purpose is.

Since in July in 2012, Han has worked at the office with several empoyees.

The government called an emergency meeting to deal with the kidnapping case.
