White asparagus promotion at Millennium Seoul Hilton 


Millennium Seoul Hilton’s French restaurant Seasons is offering white asparagus in a four or five-course dinner this month.

Grown without exposure to sunlight, white asparagus -- referred to as the “king of vegetables” in Europe -- has a delicate flavour sought after by gourmands.

The menu will feature white asparagus and lobster charlotte with an osetra caviar dressing; white asparagus soup with poached quail eggs and king crab meat; butter poached abalone and white asparagus risotto; sous vide veal tenderloin; a choice of charcoal-grilled salmon steak, US prime beef tenderloin or grilled lamb chops served with steamed white asparagus boiled potatoes; and steamed white asparagus and cooked ham, among other dishes.

As a dessert, white asparagus panna cotta and chocolate with mixed berries, yogurt ice cream and coffee or tea will be served.

Authentic Indian cuisine at Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel


Restaurant Feast at Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel will offer authentic Indian dishes prepared by guest chefs from Le Meridien Gurgaon Hotel in India from Oct. 21 to Nov. 10.

With its panoramic view of the city from the 41st floor, the restaurant presents fresh salads, appetizers and main dishes, including chicken tikka masala, a dish of roasted chunks of chicken in a spicy sauce; tandoori lasooni lobster, lobster cooked with curd and garlic; meen moile fish curry, fish cooked with coconut and south Indian spices; beef galafi kebab, minced beef cooked with chopped onion and pepper; butter chicken bread, roasted chicken stuffed with flatbread; and fish tikka, chunks of fish made in Indian style on a grill.

A variety of Indian desserts will be featured, such as Shahi tukda, Indian-style pancakes; Keema ka halwa, minced lamb pudding cooked in hot milk and more.

Fine mushrooms at JW Marriot Hotel Seoul 


Olivo, an Italian restaurant at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, is offering seasonal dishes made of fine mushroom from around the world until Nov. 30.

The program, called, “Festa dei Funghi,” presents beef carpaccio with Korean mangadak, baengmansongi, yangsongi and pyogo mushrooms, rucola and apple; artichoke salad with grilled chamsongi mushrooms; tomato sauce pizza with yangsongi mushrooms; and traditional oven-baked cannelloni pasta, stuffed with mangadak, pyogo and baengmansongi mushrooms.

The promotion features nine a la carte dishes, including pizza with tomato sauce featuring chamsongi, hwanggeumsonggi, noru gungdengi and geumul mushrooms; salted pollack roe linguine with hwanggeumsongi mushrooms; and steamed Korean halibut with duxelles.

Authentic dim sum at Courtyard Seoul Namdaemun


MoMo Cafe restaurant and MoMo Lounge at Courtyard Seoul Namdaemun are offering a wide selection of authentic dim sums from Oct. 19 to 31.

Head dim sum chef Lan Jin-yang from JW Marriott Hotel Beijing Central who will showcase traditional dim sums and desserts made with local recipes and ingredients. Dishes include steamed shrimp dumpling shaped as a half-moon, flower shaped steamed shao-mai with diced shrimp, mushroom and cabbage, steamed barbecue bun, baked milk and egg tart, Cantonese sponge cake and much more.

Guests can enjoy four different dim sums served in a hot basket with dessert and jasmine tea as a special set menu at the MoMo Lounge, or as an addition to the buffet selections at the MoMo Cafe. Pine mushroom dishes at Park Hyatt Seoul


Park Hyatt Seoul’s The Lounge presents pine mushroom dishes made of fresh ingredients from Gangwon Province from Oct. 5 to 23.

Well-known for their rich flavors and aromas, pine mushrooms grow under the roots of old pine trees in the mountains. By reducing cholesterol, they are known to help improve hypertension, arteriosclerosis and heart diseases.

The Lounge’s offerings include a four-course menu and a variety of a la carte dishes. The four-course menu at 90,000 won includes sous vide sea bream, assorted seafood dumplings, marinated Korean beef sirloin, chestnut mousse cake and coffee or tea. The a la carte menu at 58,000 won offers steamed spicy assorted seafoods, deodeok bulgogi and marinated barbecue all prepared with pine mushrooms.
