A photo scavenger hunt in Seoul has raised 775,000 won to help people living with HIV/AIDS.

The competition organized by Little Travellers Initiative saw 62 people form 16 teams to take on a variety of challenges and raise cash for the Hillcrest AIDS Center in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa.

Participants were awarded points for snapping pictures with the Little Traveller dolls in several unusual locations.

Little Travellers are beaded dolls handcrafted by women living at the center who are affected by HIV/AIDS. More than 100 beaders take part in the project with 100 percent of the proceeds from all dolls sold going directly to the center and more than 40 percent of the cash going to the beader.

More than 50,000 dolls have been sold since the project started in 2007, raising more than $300,000 for the center. The project now has branches in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia and Korea.

The charity’s next fund-raising event will be the Annual Rubber Soul live music club night in Hongdae on Dec. 3.
