The Irish Association of Korea is asking volunteers to give a few hours of their time every month toward promoting Irishness in Seoul. Those interested in or hailing from the Emerald Isle are being asked to help organize events for the non-profit organization.
The IAK has members from around the world dedicated to promoting all that is Irish in Korea. The association hosts regular cultural events, mostly taking place in Seoul.
Past events have included Saint Patrick’s Day Festivals, the Seoul Irish Music and Dance Festival, a Christmas evening of Irish music, and a Bloomsday event to celebrate the work of Irish writer James Joyce.
Those taking part will get the chance to gain experience in skills such as event management, public relations, web design and administration.
Anyone interested in helping with future events should email Conor O’Reilly at conor_o_reilly@yahoo.co.uk.
