South Korean attorneys will offer their pro-bono services at a question and answer session in Seoul on Saturday.
The lawyers will meet with up to 12 attendees for two hours to answer questions about legal issues at When in Korea (WinK)’s Kitchen & Taphouse.
They will cover topics relating to contract, property, visa, labor, civil, criminal, commercial, and corporate law.
“We know there are legal help sites on the Internet. But this session should allow them to ask many follow-up questions so they can get to the solution,” WinK owner William Cho said.
WinK, a company that specializes in services to expats in Korea, owns the dining pub that hosts Q&A sessions with lawyers once a month.
Other activities held regularly at the pub include kimchi making, clothing swaps, showcasing Korean indie bands and teaching Korean to foreigners on weekends.
“We want to create a community where we interact more with each other and Koreans and foreigners get to know each other better,” Cho said.
The Q&A session starts at 2:30 p.m. but attendees are encouraged to arrive by 1 p.m. to share stories over brunch.
