South Korean golfer Park Hee-young claimed her second career LPGA Tour win in Canada on Sunday, defeating Angela Stanford of the United States in a sudden death playoff.
Park captured the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic at Grey Silo Golf Course in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She beat Stanford with a birdie on the third playoff hole.

The two played the par-5 18th three times in the playoff. They both birdied the hole on their first two trips, but Stanford blinked first by missing the fairway off the tee on their third visit to the hole.
Park capitalized on the miscue, splitting the fairway and reaching the green in two. Her first putt rolled to within a tap-in range and she made the short birdie putt for the victory.
On the par-71, 6,330-yard course, the two players ended regulation tied at 26-under par. Park had a one-stroke lead over Stanford after three rounds at 20-under and fired a bogey-free round of 65 on Sunday. The South Korean birdied four of her last five holes.
Stanford did one better in the final round, dropping in seven birdies against no bogey for a 64.
Park had a chance to win on the first playoff hole, the par-5 18th, but missed what appeared to be a makeable eagle putt. Stanford scrambled to match the birdie on the same hole after missing the green to the right with her second shot. The two also scored birdies on the second playoff hole, and the third time proved to be the charm for Park in the end.
Park, 26, earned her maiden LPGA win in November 2011. She is the fourth South Korean golfer to win on the LPGA Tour in 2013. Park In-bee leads the pack with six wins, with one victory apiece by Shin Ji-yai, Lee Il-hee and Park Hee-young. (Yonhap News)
