KT, Korea’s second largest mobile carrier, has launched a smart-working service for enterprises, and Tongyang Systems, a system integrator, will be the first corporation to partner with the telecom firm in the sector.
The mobile carrier said Wednesday it will establish a smart-working center at Tongyang’s headquarters in Seoul.
The two sides will equip the 265-square-meter center with fast broadband and wireless connections, as well as high-definition video conferencing. Tongyang will operate the center, scheduled to open in late August this year.
The partnership means KT will provide its smart-working system know-how to be integrated with Tongyang’s information and communication technology solutions.
Officials from both companies said that the smart-working center will be for small and medium-sized tech enterprises and Tongyang’s business partners which can enjoy its flexible work environment away from their offices while meeting their clients.
KT has over a year’s experience in smart-working operations and runs 15 centers through memberships in Korea, with plans to further expand in the enterprise smart-working field.
