KOICA assist Vietnam’s medical system

The Korea International Cooperation Agency signed an agreement to help Vietnam build and manage health insurance policies.

Under the cooperative project, KOICA agents will teach Vietnamese officials how to build and implement the law on health insurance and improve the leadership and management capacity of officials.

The project will also deal with existing problems in health insurance management to help set up appropriate mechanisms for health insurance in the near future.

It will also aim to narrow the widening gap between the rich and the poor and between urban and rural areas, gradually improving social welfare and the quality of life.

KIOCA chief representative in Vietnam Lee Wook-heon expressed his hope that the project would contribute to completing health insurance regulations in Vietnam and strengthen cooperative relations between the two countries.
