The International Ibsen Award Committee is calling for nominations of candidates for next year’s Ibsen Awards.
Established in 2007 by the Norwegian government, the award offers funds totaling about $160,000 to an individual, institution or organization that has brought new artistic dimensions to the world of drama or theater.
In previous years, projects from Asia, North America, Europe, Africa and Australia have received scholarships.
The application deadline for The International Ibsen Scholarships is April 15.
The right to nominate is open to anyone and the letter must be written in English and state the reasons for nomination.
The presentation of the scholarships is staged in Skien, Norway, Ibsen’s birthplace, on Sept. 19-20 and coincides with the Skien International Ibsen Conference.
