Gwangju International Center is running a half-day tour to Hampyeong, South Jeolla Province, on Dec. 21.
The tour will stop at a stone bridge that dates back more than 700 years to the Goryeo Dynasty, when it was supposedly made using the magic of a local monk.
Participants will then move on to a seawater spa that has been heating up a steamy mix of seawater and herbs for travelers for more than 100 years.
After a lunch of raw-beef bibimbap, the group will head back to Gwangju.
The tour will leave the GIC at 9 a.m. and return at 3 p.m. Participation costs 35,000 won for GIC members and 45,000 won for nonmembers. To sign up, visit www.gic.or.kr.
