The Korea Foundation Cultural Center is running a free weekly lecture series on Korea’s contemporary culture and arts from Oct. 12 to Nov. 16.
The series consists of lectures and trips to galleries and cultural sites in Seoul, led by scholars and specialists in Korea, aiming to provide a broad overview of Korea’s contemporary culture and arts.
The first lecture, “Understanding of Modern & Contemporary Art” will be followed on Oct. 19 with a field trip to galleries in Seoul. The next lecture, on architecture, will also be followed by a related field trip. The series will cover cinema and contemporary performing arts in the last two weeks.
Lectures will take place at the KF Cultural Center in Suha-dong, Seoul, on Saturdays from 2 p.m. To participate in the lecture series, email kf_lecture@kf.or.kr with your name, phone number, and email address by Oct. 10.
