JYJ will release an album in late July, its agency C-JeS Entertainment announced Tuesday.
The upcoming release will be the boy band’s first album in three years involving all three members. Kim Jae-joong, Park Yoo-chun and Kim Jun-su have pursued solo careers since the release of their first studio album “In Heaven” in 2011.
“The new album is slated to contain over seven tracks, mostly pop melodies intended for a wide appeal. The songs will be written by both Korean and foreign composers, whereas all the lyrics will be written by JYJ members themselves,” said the agency.

On Monday, JYJ released a much-anticipated teaser video titled “The Return of the King” on its official website, for fans awaiting the trio’s comeback.
The upcoming album is attracting more attention than usual, given the speculation that it may be JYJ’s last release before the members begin military service. However, JYJ has yet to announce officially when they will enter the military.
In the last three years, the three idols have pursued separate paths. They appeared in films, musicals and dramas as well as produced solo albums.
Park has been building a career in acting, taking on lead roles in hit dramas including “Rooftop Prince” and “Sungkyunkwan Scandal.” He will appear in the film “Sea Frog,” to be released in August.
Kim Jae-joong is currently starring in the MBC drama “Triangle,” while Kim Jun-su has gained recognition as a musical actor for appearing in “Mozart,” “Elisabeth” and “December.” The star is currently preparing for “Dracula,” a musical to be staged in July.
