Incheon Airport to hold anniversary concerts

Incheon International Airport will hold concerts to celebrate its feat of ranking at the top of the Airport Service Quality survey for eight successive years and the 12th anniversary of its opening.

The concerts will be staged in the Center Millennium Hall on the first floor of the passenger terminal of the airport for one hour from 4 p.m. every day, March 27-31.

They will feature the INSIEM philharmonic orchestra; an internationally acclaimed Korean composer and pianist Yiruma; Kim Won-jung, a stand-out soprano and musical theater actress; Jeong Ga Ak Hoe, an ensemble of Korean traditional music players; jazz-traditional Korean fusion band Easternox; a cappella group Maytree; the Lee Won-kook ballet troupe; and jazz musician Lee Jung-sik’s four-piece band.

“We were able to stay on top in the world thanks to every passenger’s affection and interest,” said Lee Young-geun, acting president of Incheon Airport. “We have prepared the concerts as a token of appreciation for them.”

The Airport Service Quality passenger satisfaction survey is conducted annually by the Airports Council International, which consists of about 1,700 airports in the world.
