Fashion designer Lie Sang Bong presented his fall and winter collection during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday.

The collection, with motifs of Korea’s traditional “hanok” houses, presented works featuring geometric patterns and an Oriental brushwork motif that set the minimal tone of the collection.

“I thought over and over how I would reinterpret the traditional Korean house hanok for my collection. I hope my small effort reminds people of the beauty of the Korean house,” said Lie.

Bright colors such as pink, blue and green, emphasized the femininity of the collection.

In Seoul, his second line is on view at a pop-up store which opened Saturday at Shinsaegae Gangnam.

Lie launched his second line “Lie” with his son, who works as a creative director for the brand. The first collection of the brand, which targets young customers, is on display at the pop-up store until March 17.

The Lie brand received a good response from overseas buyers when it was first introduced at Who’s Next, an international fashion and accessory trade show in Paris, and the fashion trade show Coterie in New York in 2012.

The pop-up store features Lie’s spring and summer women’s collection, which includes trench coats and dresses as the main items.
