Short trackers return for chance to win more medals

Three days after winning the gold medal in the women's 3,000-meter relay, South Korean short trackers will be back for more on Friday.

Shim Suk-hee, Park Seung-hi and Kim A-lang will all set their sights on their second gold in Sochi in the 1,000m. They have reached the quarterfinals, and the semifinals and the finals, should they keep advancing, are also scheduled for Friday.

The men's short track team has yet to win a medal in Sochi, and the 500m is the last opportunity. Park Se-yeong and Lee Han-bin have made it to the quarters, and the semis and the finals will also be held later Friday should they reach that far.

The following is the list of events for South Korean athletes on Friday. All times are local.
