Two Korean menswear designers presented their spring-summer looks in the men’s collection during New York Fashion Week, drawing interest with innovative and unique designs.
Kang Dong-jun of DBYD and Jang Hyung-chul of Ordinary People showed their creations as part of the Korean government-organized Concept Korea event, held semiannually during New York Fashion Week since 2010 to introduce Korean designers in the fashion hub of New York.

The show was attended by leading fashion figures, including Simon Collins, former dean of the Fashion School at Parson’s New School for Design, and major fashion reporters.
“DBYD and Ordinary People have different characters, but I think their creations both feature practicality and uniqueness -- the two most important factors in the American fashion market,” said Collins.
DBYD is Kang’s second brand to target a younger audience with urban street casual looks. The designer added youthful energy to his collection of flamboyant patterns and colors.
