Two Sonatas collided head-on at the Hyundai Motor Street Circuit in the Songdo International Business District of Incheon on Saturday, as part of Hyundai Motor’s efforts to demonstrate the safety and security of the company’s flagship sedan. Both cars -– one manufactured in Korea and the other in the U.S. — bore minimum damage after clashing at a speed of 56 kilometers per hour. Hyundai said the rather “dangerous” experiment was held to assure that all Sonatas are powerful and safe regardless of where they were made.
