KT&G Corp., the nation’s largest tobacco maker by market share, Monday rolled out its latest limited edition “This Africa Zippo” in collaboration with U.S. lighter maker Zippo.
Available for sale for one month, the This Africa Zippo edition applies to two “This” categories: This Africa Rula and This Africa Mola.
The two Zippo editions bring out a wild-and-strong image through metallic colors and illustrations of a roaring lion and a glaring elephant, while keeping the same flavor as the regular This Africa lineup.
The new products contain 4 percent traditionally roasted tobacco leaves and has firm-type space filters for fine filtering.
“This Africa has been gaining steady popularity among consumers, not to mention those near colleges where This Africa’s market share turned up almost twice as higher as its rivals,” said Kim Gi-soo, the team head of KT&G’s This unit.
This Africa Zippo is 4,500 won ($3.74) per pack, and contains 5 milligrams of tar.
