Tonino Lamborghini to launch in Korea

Tonino Lamborghini, a high-end apparel and accessories brand based on Italian luxury sports carmaker Lamborghini, has officially entered South Korea.

Established in 1981 by Tonino Lamborghini, the son of Lamborghini founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, the eponymous merchandising brand sells a range of apparel, bags, watches, shoes and accessories inspired by the automotive designs of the iconic Italian sports car.

“We are happy to be able to introduce our brand in Korea, an important luxury fashion hub in Asia,” Ferrucio Lamborghini, of the third generation in the founding family, announced at a press conference in Seoul on Wednesday.

Korasia, a local company that holds the licensing rights to sell Tonino Lamborghini products in Korea, China and Japan, said it will open a large-scale flagship store in Seoul on Thursday and introduce the Italian brand’s merchandise to local consumers.

Tonino Lamborghini’s iconic luxury watches, information technology-based wearable devices and products based on the Internet of Things technology, as well as glasses, perfume and sports goods like golf clubs, are some items available for purchase in Korea.

“We will put forward exclusive luxury items that reflect the latest fashion trends and satisfy current consumer tastes,” said Korasia CEO Kim Tae-chul.

Though the Lamborghini founding family sold its original sports car brand to Germany’s Volkswagen Group in 2008, the family continues to operate Tonino Lamborghini today.
