The presidential office Cheong Wa Dae on Monday denied the allegations that a new senior presidential secretary helped three of his wife's students land jobs at a company established by a local university where he previously lectured.
Cheong Wa Dae said that Hyun Dai-won, chief presidential secretary for future strategy, would take legal action against the allegations, which he stressed were "totally groundless."

The local liberal daily Kyunghyang Shinmun raised the allegations that Hyun helped his wife's students at a two-year college get hired by the company "Media Convergence Lab," which was launched by Sogang University in 2013.
The daily claimed Hyun helped the three students land jobs at the company so as to help boost the employment rate of his wife's school.
Before Hyun was appointed to join the presidential office earlier this month, he served as professor of the communications department at Sogang. (Yonhap)
