[THE INVESTOR] A Go match between an artificial intelligence program and a human player will be held for the second time in Russia later this month.
The National Institute for Mathematical Science, a state-run agency to promote the start-up and industrial mathematics sectors, said on July 7, Korean Go master Cho Hye-yeon and Japanese AI Go solution Zen will compete in a one-round match at the European Go Congress to be held on July 27 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The AI program is considered the second most advanced Go program after AlphaGo, developed by US start-up DeepMind.
Hideki Kato, co-creator of Zen, reportedly said that its capability almost surpassed that of DeepMind’s.
The Japanese Go program won a competition in Japan in March after beating other programs including the one developed by Facebook.
In the first ever match between a human Go player and an AI program, Korean Go grandmaster Lee Se-dol was defeated by AlphaGo 1-4.
