Shinsegae DF has completed its opening of seven luxury stores in its Incheon International Airport outlet, the company said Wednesday.
The duty-free operator began bringing in luxury brands in mid-June, starting with Balenciaga.
After Balenciaga, Moncler and Miu Miu stores soon followed. Celine, Fendi and Marc Jacobs stores opened on July 8, and a Hermes outlet opened on July 12.
All of these brands are operated exclusively by Shinsegae DF at Incheon International Airport with the exception of Hermes. Shilla Duty Free also runs a Hermes outlet at the airport.
Shinsegae DF‘s Incheon Airport branch had focused mainly on sunglasses, jewelry and food brands since its opening in September 2015.
The company said through a statement that these seven luxury brand stores signaled the beginning of a more aggressive luxury strategy at the Incheon outlet.
