Dong-A Socio Holdings (000640) announced on Aug. 24 that it plans to purchase 3.3 million shares, equivalent to 17.69 percent of total issued shares, of its affiliate ST Pharm (237690) in a takeover bid. The purchase price is 53,690 won (US$47.90) per share and the offering period is from Sept. 13 to Oct. 4.
The firm added it has placed a bid to qualify as a holdings company.
