[STOCK WATCH] KCC continues falling on first day after holidays

On Sept. 19 KCC Corp. (002380) declined 1.28% from the previous trading day on Sept. 13 to 385,500 won (US$344.77). It had declined 10.47% through the past month. Standard deviation, which indicates variableness, records 1.4% over the same period of time over one month.

Compared with its close competitors within the same industry, KOSPI, since the monthly volatility of KCC was the lowest, the earnings rate over one month was also relatively lower than that of its peer group. Over the recent month, the return-on-risk, the return on investment with consideration about risk, was -7.4%. Though the volatility was the lowest among its peer group, the return-on-risk was the lowest as tumbling of stock price. Moreover, compared with the KOSPI industry, the return-on-risk is below the industrial mean, -3.5, and thus the industrial comparison performance was not so good.

As of Sept. 13, institutions have been selling for the past two trading days and foreigners have been selling for the past three trading days. As a shareholding sum by investor group for the past four weeks, foreigners have sold 12,548 shares and institutions have sold 15,011 shares with a selling trend. However, during the same period, individuals have bought 27,559 shares changing stance to buying from selling.
