Berlin police chief says 'uncertain' Pakistani suspect behind attack

BERLIN (AFP) -- Berlin's police chief voiced doubt Tuesday that a detained Pakistani man was behind a deadly truck rampage through crowds at a Christmas market, which would mean the perpetrator remains at large.

"It is indeed uncertain he was the driver," Klaus Kandt told a press conference. "The initial evidence has been limited," he said, while police tweeted that "we remain especially vigilant."
