Ukrainian Ambassador to Seoul Dmytro Ponomarenko on Wednesday urged the international community to condemn Russia's heightened aggression against Ukraine and take immediate and decisive action.

Russian attacks have destroyed civilian infrastructure, and injured and killed civilians, including children, he told The Korea Herald, citing a second mass missile strike within just four days.

The envoy suggested urgent measures that he believes the world should take to support Ukraine in its defense against Russia.

He called for the expedited delivery of additional air defense systems and ammunition to Ukraine, the provision of combat drones of all types, and the supply of long-range missiles with a range exceeding 300 km.

Ponomarenko also urged the approval of using frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine and the isolation of Russian diplomats in relevant capitals and international organizations.

"The terrorist regime in Moscow must realize that the international community will not turn a blind eye to the murder of civilians and the destruction of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine," Ponomarenko said, citing an official press statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"We expect Russia is going to expand its brutal aggression," he added.
