K-pop artist G-Dragon was spotted visiting the CES 2024, the world’s largest tech show which kicked off in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

G-Dragon popped into the showrooms of Korean tech firms, including Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and SK Group, where he explored their cutting-edge technologies.

When asked about his surprise visit to the tech show, he replied, “I’m interested in all technologies, and came to learn more about AI.”

Stopping by SK Group’s exhibition booth, which has an amusement park theme, G-Dragon rode a carbon-free future urban air mobility simulator named the “Magic Carpet.” The futuristic flying vehicle is powered by an AI processor developed by Sapeon, an SK-backed chip startup.

G-Dragon also tried the "AI Fortune Teller,” which reads New Year’s fortunes and creates cards featuring a characterized version of the user’s face. When a user takes a photo and selects a tarot card, the AI Fortune Teller displays the result on the screen.

G-Dragon burst into laughter when he found out the “Lovers” card appeared as his New Year's fortune card, with an AI-generated face printed on it.

According to an SK official, the artist’s new agency Galaxy Corporation had a meeting with SK Telecom at the CES show to discuss possible collaboration on an AI-based project.
