Golden Girls, a new K-pop group consisting of four legendary female singers Insooni, Park Mi-kyung, Shin Hyo-beom and Lee Eun-mi, will tour 12 cities nationwide starting February. They are also reportedly pushing for overseas concerts as well.

The Golden Girls will perform in Daejeon, Cheongju, Busan, Gwangju, Uijeongbu, Incheon and Changwon, starting with a concert at Kyunghee University's Peace Hall in Seoul Feb. 3-4.

Golden Girls is a new K-pop group produced by Park Jin-young of JYP Entertainment, through the KBS program "Golden Girls," which has been on air since October. The program features the process of re-debuting the four female artists who dominated the '80s and '90s in a new group named Golden Girls. As one of the most successful K-pop group producers, Park Jin-young persuaded the members to join the group and taught them how to follow the path of a trendy K-pop group.

Insooni, Park Mi-kyung, Shin Hyo-beom and Lee Eun-mi, each with more than 30 years of experience in the music scene, have newly impressed viewers by boldly abandoning their previous styles and careers to learn the choreography, attitudes and fast-beat songs characteristic of their much younger colleagues.

Golden Girls plans to provide various performances in their concerts -- including the duets, group performances and individual performances they have showed throughout the program -- in new arrangements.

Their overseas concerts have yet to be confirmed, but plans are reportedly under discussion. The group successfully completed their first overseas activities by appearing at the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival held at the Belluna Dome in Saitama, Japan, on Dec. 9 last year. The Golden Girls, who were on stage with younger K-pop artists in front of 35,000 audiences, received positive responses and showed the strong potential of their continued overseas activities.

The middle-aged newbie K-pop group is expected to continue performing together even after the TV show ends.

At a showcase event held at KBS headquarters in Seoul on Nov. 23 last year, Park Jin-young, of JYP Entertainment, who produced the group, expressed his desire for a Golden Girls concert, saying, "Concerts were originally my goal. My dream is to see (Golden Girls') concerts sell out."

Yang Hyuk, the producer of the show, said, "I hope the group will continue their activities and maintain their team even after show," adding that there is a possibility for a season 2.
