Estuary oyster specials at The Plaza
The Plaza’s Japanese restaurant Murasaki is offering a special menu featuring estuary oysters, a delicacy in Korea during the spring, until April 30. The estuary oyster is an oyster native to Korea that is caught near the mouth of the Seomjin River in North Jeolla Province. The oyster is also known as the “cherry blossom oyster,” because it grows to its fullest size and tastes the best during the spring season. The special menu includes butter-roasted estuary oyster steak with soy sauce, fire-grilled estuary oyster with white soybean paste and steamed estuary oyster with rice wine served with ginger and beefsteak plant. Trentino Alto Adige cuisines at Millennium Seoul Hilton
Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Italian restaurant Il Ponte is offering a special set menu featuring cuisine from Trentino Alton Adige, until the end of April. Trentino Alto Adige is a region of northern Italy, along the border with Austria and Switzerland. The region’s cuisine is highly influenced by its local products such as salami, cheese, goulash and polenta. The Trentino Alto Adige set menu includes: roll of beef carpaccio with Parmesan cheese, basil, balsamic, lemon and extra virgin olive oil dressing; barley and white bean cream soup, ravioli with chicken, beef and salami with butter and parmesan cheese; and grilled beef sirloin with goulash sauce and polenta. Outdoor beer garden at Renaissance Seoul Hotel
Renaissance Seoul Hotel is reopening its outdoor beer garden from 6 p.m. until midnight starting April 14. The restaurant offers a diverse menu including assorted sausages, beef skewers and pork galbi barbecue. A barbecue and beverage package is priced at 42,500 won on Mondays and Tuesdays and 47,000 won on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Prices for the regular dishes start from 18,000 won and 4,800 won for drinks. For an additional 15,000 won, guests can enjoy unlimited wine. All prices are inclusive of tax and service charges. The restaurant is also offering a special promotion every Monday and Tuesday until April 30. On Mondays, a party of eight visiting the outdoor beer garden will be charged for only six people. Tasty Box cafe by Sheraton Grand Walkerhill
Sheraton Grand Walkerhill has launched the Tasty Box cafe at the three-way intersection by the hotel’s first pizzeria restaurant Pizza Hill. The container-box cafe boasts an artsy design and offers a variety of easy take-out menus including diverse freshly prepared salads, sandwiches and pastas. Canned juice, cups of wine and more are available on the beverage menu while organic soft ice-cream and gelato are available on the dessert menu. As an eco-friendly cafe, Tasty Box uses plates and cutleries made with recycled materials in an attempt to reduce waste. After spring passes, Tasty Box cafe will become available at other Walkerhill sites. Additional branches of the cafe will be set up at the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool River Park in the summer and at the outdoor camping venue Camping Zone in the fall.
