Pororo Park KINTEX, a play-and-experience venue for children, will open on the ground floor of Exhibition Center II, at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, on March 16.
Themed on the Korean television animation “Porong Porong Pororo,” Pororo Park offers performances, games and chance to play with the animation characters.

Built on a 3,000-square-meter site, Pororo Park in KINTEX includes a theater for performances and 3-D animated films, a playground and Pororo character stores. It will also feature “Forest Village Sandpit,” a new attraction not found in other Pororo Parks.
“Children’s favorite in other Pororo Parks is the ‘Sing Along Show’ where children can actually meet Pororo. And they simply love riding on ‘The Little Train’ and the ball pit as well,” a worker for the new park said. Currently there are five other Pororo Parks in the country.
“Parents are more interested in the educational side. They like children’s programs such as the ‘Creativity Class’ and photography lessons which are offered free of charge,” the worker added.
“KINTEX is turning itself into a cultural complex with Racing Park, a wireless-controlled race car game facility, Pororo Park and other diverse experimental spaces,” a KINTEX CS public relations officer said. “We are expecting many family visitors.”
Pororo Park is open from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. Tickets, valid for two hours, are 6,000 won for adults and 16,000 won for children.
