Song re-elected ICC president

(Yonhap) -- Song Sang-hyun, a renowned legal scholar from South Korea, was re-elected as president of the International Criminal Court (ICC), officials said Sunday.

Song, a professor-emeritus at Seoul National University and former visiting professor at Harvard Law School, was elected to the ICC's highest post in 2009 for a three-year term.

The first Korean national to helm the Hague-based court, Song will be responsible for the administration of the court, except the Office of the Prosecutor. The ICC president can serve up to two three-year terms.
