Artistic Soup, a new art collective from Jeju Island, will be meeting at 3 p.m. this Sunday at The Factory, near Jeju City hall, to begin a series of meetings to help fund and inspire local art projects and artists from the Jeju community.
Group founder and expat Lindsay Drinkard was part of a similar organization in Detroit and started the project in the hope of inspiring community art projects around Jeju Island.
The group will be self-funded and collectively decides which projects to allocate money to.
The Factory owner, Myung Ae, is hosting the event on the bar’s 20th anniversary to aid the growth of Jeju’s emerging art community.
