Louis Vuitton published a new city guide for Seoul on Thursday, which offers unique perspectives on Asia’s emerging tourist destination for the 15th anniversary edition of the City Guide.
The new collection includes 15 major cities around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo and Venice. Seoul, Beijing and Cape Town have been added in the anniversary edition.
Louis Vuitton has published city guides since 1998, offering fresh insights on fashion, contemporary art, popular culture, restaurants and other charms of various cities through the perspectives of selected journalists, writers and photographers.
The Seoul city guide, available in Korean, English and French, offers information with visually attractive illustrations and photographs of 600 places in the city, including hot spots such as the Hongdae area, known for its nightlife, and fashion-conscious Cheongdam-dong and Garosugil.
“The 2014 Louis Vuitton Seoul City Guide proves Seoul’s prominence as a global city and offers a chance to promote its charms to the world,” said Cho Ouk, CEO of Louis Vuitton Korea.
The city guides are sold at Louis Vuitton stores. An individual book sells for 42,500 won and a set of all 15 guides goes for 635,000 won.
