South Korea’s prosecution on Sunday wrapped up its two-month investigation into a scandal that led to President Park Geun-hye’s impeachment last week.

Park was never investigated or prosecuted, even though she was named an accomplice to crimes allegedly committed by her confidante Choi Soon-sil and their shared inner circle. A special counsel, Park Young-soo, is to receive the baton from the prosecution and continue the high-profile probe.
