Hyeri of K-pop girl group Girl's Day, widely known as the heroine of tvN's hit series "Reply 1988," has returned home after days of intensive treatment for meningitis, the singer's talent agency said on Friday.
The 22-year-old singer-actress was released from the hospital around 4 p.m. on Thursday, according to Dream Tea Entertainment.
"The doctors said her condition has much improved, and gave prescriptions to take home while she rests," an official at the agency said.
The "Reply 1988" heroine was diagnosed with meningitis -- inflammation of the protective membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord -- on March 6, days after she came down with a high fever and severe headache.
After her health worsened, all of Hyeri's scheduled appointments were called off indefinitely.
The fever and headache are gone, but Hyeri will rest until she fully recovers, according to Dream Tea. (Yonhap)
