The K-pop idols of 2NE1 will be embarking on the group’s second world tour next year, with the ladies kicking off in Seoul in March.
After home performances, the group will head over to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and more cities to be announced later.
2NE1 completed the group’s first world tour titled “New Evolution World Tour 2012” last year, which took them around the globe including Taiwan, Singapore, and all across Japan, as well as the United States with performances in Los Angeles and New Jersey.
Prior to 2NE1’s 2014 world tour, the members announced that they will also be releasing a new single on Thursday titled, “Missing You.”
“The song has the atmosphere of a late night, which is why we are releasing it at night,” said member Sandara Park at an online press conference post on YG Entertainment’s blog site.
The single is scheduled to be released at midnight on Nov. 21.
“It (the single) is quite emotional, so when you listen to it, you can feel our hearts perhaps,” said Park Bom.
“When I was recording the song, I cried a lot in the studio, I used a whole box of tissues,” said Sandara.
This year the group made a much-awaited return with the release of single “Falling in Love” ― the group’s reggae-flavored electro pop song ― in July, more than a year after the release of its previous single “I Love You.” Following the group’s comeback, the members released their follow-up track “Do You Love Me” the next month.
Although the ladies are currently one of the most iconic girl groups in the K-pop industry, 2NE1 has only released one full studio album since debuting in 2009. The members had announced that even they are unsure of when fans can expect to hear their next full-length album.
