The members of Franz Ferdinand are gearing up to rock the house as their worldwide tour brings the Scottish rock band back to Seoul.

Franz Ferdinand, which is composed of Alex Kapranos on lead vocals and guitar and fellow band mates Nick McCarthy, Bob Hardy and Paul Thomson, will be playing their global chart-topping hits in the band’s upcoming solo Seoul concert slated for the end of next month.

The band formed in Glasgow in 2002 and quickly experienced large-scale commercial success with only the band’s second single, “Take Me Out.” The song was released in the United Kingdom in January 2004 and reached the No. 3 spot on the U.K. Billboard Charts. The alternative punk rock track “Take Me Out,” from the band’s self-titled debut album, also debuted at the No. 3 spot on the U.K. Albums Chart. In November of that year, the single went certified gold and launched the boys into the mainstream rock spotlight.

Franz Ferdinand went on to win the 2004 Mercury Music Prize and two BRIT Awards the following year for Best British Group and Best British Rock Act. The band‘s debut album also nabbed British Magazine New Musical Express (NME)’s Album of the Year that year.

After the group’s monster single, the band went on to release several studio albums including “You Could Have It So Much Better” in 2005 and “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand” in 2009.

The rockers unveiled their fourth studio album, “Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action,” in August. The new album debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. Indie Chart and No. 6 on the U.K. Albums Chart. The 10-track album, featuring lead track “Right Action,” continued the band’s signature alternative punk rock sound and received “generally favorable” reviews among music critics.

Franz Ferdinand will perform its live solo concert at UNIQLO AX Hall on Nov. 28. Tickets to the show are 88,000 won and can be purchased online at interpark.com.
