Super rookie Lee Hi, who exploded onto the music scene with her debut single “1,2,3,4,” is back on top once again with her latest release “It’s Over.” The singer performed her newly released single on the M! Countdown comeback stage on Thursday, beating out veteran ballad singers 2AM to receive her fourth countdown crown in her short career.
The 16-year-old unveiled the first part of her debut album, titled “First Love Part 1,” on March 3. “It’s Over,” the album’s title track that put her on top of this week’s countdown chart, also topped all of the country’s major music charts upon its release.

The young artist first gained attention as a runner-up contestant on the first season of popular survival audition program “K-pop Star.” After the season ended, Lee signed with YG Entertainment where she made a name for herself as a modern-time jazz-pop fusion singer with her monster debut single “1,2,3,4.”
Lee’s debut track and debut performance on the M! Countdown stage resulted in her receiving the Triple Crown award for claiming the No. 1 spot on the show for three weeks. Once a song receives a Triple Crown, it is then removed from the chart.
This week’s Mnet countdown stage included performances by SHINee, Davichi, Infinite, G.Na, Teen Top, Girl’s Day, 2BiC, Rania, Hong Jin-young, Heo Young-saeng, Ladies’ Code and Purplay. The weekly live performance competition show calculates winners based on digital single and album sales as well as fan voting.
