한국인 등산객 한 명이 스위스 마터호른에서 추락해 사망했다고 AP통신이 7일(현지시간) 보도했다.

스위스 경찰에 따르면 정확한 신원이 알려지지 않은 이 등산객은 전날 하산하던 중 약 3천700m 지점에서 200m 아래로 떨어져 숨졌다.

발레 칸톤(州) 경찰은 사고 원인에 대해 조사를 진행 중이라고 말했다.

이번 사고로 올해 마터호른에서 숨진 등산객은 모두 7명이 됐다. (연합뉴스)
