Girl group (G)I-dle has suspended all activities ahead of the release of the group's second full-length album on Monday due to the health issues of two of its members.

"Minnie and Yuqi visited the hospital the previous day due to fever and migraines. We decided to suspend all schedules of the two members and they will focus on getting enough rest and treatment following the medical team's instructions," Cube Entertainment, the group’s agency, said Saturday. The agency added that future activities will be re-scheduled based on the artists' health status.

While a press conference -- which was scheduled for Monday to celebrate the release of the group’s new album -- was canceled, the group's second full-length album, "2," will be released as scheduled on various music sites at 6 p.m. on Monday.

(G)I-dle became embroiled in a controversy last week when the lyrics of the album's pre-release track, "Wife," were criticized for being too suggestive. Public broadcaster KBS said that the lyrics should be revised for broadcast, but as the song is not the title song of the album, the group decided not to revise it.

With more than 1.8 million preorders as of Wednesday, "2" will be the group's second million-seller following its sixth mini album, "I feel," released in May 2023.
