NCT Wish, the last NCT subunit, will debut in February, SM Entertainment confirmed Thursday.

The new team was created through the audition program “NCT Universe: Lastart,” organized by the entertainment agency to select new NCT members. The show aired from July to September 2023.

The six-member group, consisting of Korean members Sion and Jaehee, and Japanese members Riku, Yushi, Ryo and Sakuya, will mainly perform in Korea and Japan.

"Wish" in the subunit's name stands for the members' and fans' desperate wish and desire to create the group. Under the catchphrase "Wish for our wish," the team has the ambition to support everyone's wishes and dreams with its music, according to the agency.

The average age of the group is 18.3 years.

SM Entertainment has said that the new team will be the last subunit of NCT. Other subunits include NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream and WayV.

Meanwhile, NCT Wish has been engaged in pre-debut activities since September under the name of "NCT New Team," completing 24 pre-debut concerts in nine cities across Japan.
