K-pop idols to hold first solo concerts, fan meetings of their career

Several K-pop idols are gearing up for their first solo concerts and fan meetings in February.

Ten of NCT will hold his first fan concert as he tours four Asian cities, including Seoul.

The first "2024 Ten First Fan-Con 1001" concert will be held at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on Feb. 17.

Other concert venues for Ten's tour include the Bangkok Impact Arena on March 3, the Asiaworld-Expo Hall in Hong Kong on March 9 and the Kasablanka Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia, on April 27.

Ten will perform new songs as well as a number of previously released solo songs, according to his agency, SM Entertainment.

Ten is also preparing for the release of his first solo album in February. He will be the second member of NCT to release a solo album following Taeyong, who kicked off his solo career in June 2023.

Wheein, a member of the group Mamamoo and a talented vocalist, will hold the first solo concert of her 10-year career on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25 at Blue Square Master Card Hall in Seoul.

The main poster for the "2024 Wheein 1st World Tour: Whee In The Mood [Beyond]” was released last week, where Wheein boasts her charismatic style with blonde hair, bold red lips and black dress.

Mamamoo debuted with the single "Don't Be Happy" in January 2014 and Wheein began her solo career in 2018 with her first single “Magnolia.” She released her first solo studio album, "In the Mood," in October 2023.

GFriend's Yerin will hold the "Yerin 1st Fanmeeting WOORIN & I” in Taipei, Taiwan, on Jan. 14, where she will meet with international fans.

The event marks Yerin's first solo overseas fan meeting since her debut. Yerin debuted as a member of GFriend in 2015 and embarked on her career as a solo artist in 2022. Her first solo fan meeting in Korea was held in October 2023.

Starting with the Taiwan fan meeting, Yerin plans to meet fans from around the world in various countries, her agency, Bill Entertainment, added.

Yerin made her comeback with the second mini album, "Ready, Set, Love," last summer, pulling off a retro concept. She successfully kicked off her acting career as well, appearing in her first movie, "New Normal."

Lee Chae-yeon, a solo singer from the group IZ*ONE, will also hold her first solo fan meeting this month.

Lee, who debuted as a member of IZ*ONE, a project group created through "Produce 48," a K-pop audition TV program, began her career as a soloist in October 2023.

Her first fan meeting, "Uni-Chaerish," will be held at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Jan. 13, at the Wonjung Green Campus Grand Hall at Sungshin Women's University in Seoul. The title of the fan meeting refers to a university for Chaerish, Lee Chae-yeon's fan club, and the fan meeting will be held under the concept of a college orientation.

Kara's Hur Young-ji will appear as a special MC at the fan meeting.
