풀 뜯으러 잠시 마실 나섰던 하마가 몹시 뿔나 있다.

자기 구역에 돌아와보니 낯선 이의 향기가...단지 물 마시러 온 흰코뿔소였다.

하마는 다급히 도망치려는 상대를 순순히 보내주지 않는다.

기싸움은 시작됐고 대치상황이 이어진다. 그리고 녀석은 끝내 ‘코 빠진’ 경쟁자를 물웅덩이에 파묻어버렸다.

코뿔소 코가 잘려나가는 경우가 종종 생기는데 대부분 다시 자란다는 보고가 있다.
