영상 속 동아프리카에 우기가 오려면 멀었고 사자들도 물마셔야 생존할 수 있다. 이는 잦은 분쟁의 씨앗이 되는 법.

암사자 서넛이 호숫가에서 서성이고 있었다. 가는 날이 장날이었던가. 영역주인 하마 우두머리 눈에 심히 거슬린 듯하다.

성질도 전혀 너그럽지 못한 하마. 녀석은 혼비백산 흩어지는 포식자 자매를 붙잡아 무차별 폭격을 가했다.
