The body of a 3-year-old Memphis boy was found in a dumpster two days after his father reported him missing.
The father, Maurice Brown, has already been charged with child endangerment, The (Memphis) Commercial-Appeal reported. Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong said he could face new charges once the medical examiner reports on his son’s death.
A police officer searching for Maurice Brown Jr. found the boy‘s body Tuesday. It was in a trash bin behind an empty building.
Brown, who also has a 1-year-old son, told police when he reported the 3-year-old missing that he fell asleep and woke to find the apartment door open. But a neighbor said he saw Brown that evening leaving, carrying the boy over his shoulder, and investigators found blood in the apartment’s bathroom. (UPI)

쓰레기통에서 시체 발견돼..
미국 테네시주 멤피스에서 실종되었던 만 세 살 남자아이의 시체가 쓰레기통에서 발견되었다.
멤피스 지역 신문인 '커머셜어필'지는 아이의 아버지인 마우리스 브라운씨가 이미 아동 학대로 기소되었다고 전했다. 또한 경찰 측은 아들의 죽음에 대한 검시관의 결과가 발표되면 혐의가 더 추가될 수 있다고 설명했다.
시체는 한 경찰이 화요일, 아무도 없는 건물 뒤 쓰레기통에서 발견했다.
브라운씨는 경찰 조사에서, 깜빡 잠들었다가 일어났을 때 아파트 문이 열려있었고 아들은 사라져 있었다고 진술했다.
하지만 한 이웃은 그날 오후 브라운씨가 아들을 어깨에 걸친 채 외출하는 것을 보았다고 말했고, 그의 화장실에서는 피가 발견되었다.
