Psy to present at Billboard Music Awards

South Korean rapper Psy will attend the Billboard Music Awards 2013 on Sunday as a nominee and presenter.

Psy is one of the celebrities that will present an award during the ceremony, which is scheduled air live in the United States from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Other presenters include Cee-Lo Green, Miley Cyrus, Celine Dion and Shania Twain, according to the Billboard's Web site Thursday.

Psy, whose real name is park Jae-sang, is the first Korean to present an award during the show.

He has also been nominated in six categories, including "Top New Artist," "Top Streaming Artist," and "Top Rap Artist."

The 35-year-old rapper, who rocketed to global fame with "Gangnam Style," is currently in the United States on a promotional tour for his new single "Gentleman."

"Gentleman" hit the global music market last month, attracting more than 328 million YouTube views as of Thursday.

He will perform his new single during the "Season 16" finals of U.S. broadcaster ABC TV's popular entertainment show, "Dancing With the Stars," to air across the country Tuesday night, according to his local management agency, YG Entertainment.

Another special performer is popular Cuban-American rapper Pitbull.

Psy is also set to perform "Gentleman" during the final round of "American Idol Season 12" on Thursday on Fox TV. (Yonhap News)
