Super Junior's 'Mamacita,' most-viewed K-pop music video for Aug.

The latest music video of South Korean boy band Super Junior became the most-viewed K-pop video for August in just three days of release, an American music magazine has said.

"Mamacita," the title piece of the band's 7th full-length album, was at No. 1 on the Billboard magazine's top-10 list of most-viewed K-pop videos around the world for August. Released on Monday, the ranking is based on YouTube views for the last one month.

"Despite dropping with three days left in the month, 'Mamacita' pulled out the win," the magazine said.

The album by the same title "Mamacita" was released to digital retailers on Aug. 29 and record stores on Sept. 1. "Mamacita" means an "attractive, pretty girl" in Spanish.

Last week, the veteran boy band notched their first No. 1 on a Billboard chart by sending the album to the top of Billboard's World Albums chart.

"After the two-year wait, Super Junior's latest shows the band at what might be their most experimental yet," the magazine said in an article released last Friday.  

"Mamacita" sold 1,000 copies in just three days, the magazine said, citing Nielsen SoundScan.

Super Junior has also topped domestic K-pop music programs with the title track. (Yonhap)
