The latest album by an official subgroup of South Korean girl group Girls' Generation topped the Billboard World Albums chart, according to the chart updated Thursday.
"Holler," the second mini-album by Girls' Generation-TTS, also known as Taetiseo, was uploaded on major music websites on Sept. 16 and hit record stores two days later.
It marked the first time that the unit rose to the top of the chart since its debut album, "Twinkle," took the honor in 2012.
Upon its release, the album topped iTunes albums charts in nine regions -- Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia and Brunei, as well as local music charts.
Taetiseo is composed of three Girls' Generation members -- Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun. (Yonhap)
