Hotel Cappuccino opens in Seoul

Hotel Cappuccino in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, said it has officially opened for business this month.

Occupying 18 floors above ground and three below, Hotel Cappuccino is an all-new urban lifestyle destination boasting 141 guest rooms and aspiring to become Korea’s first hotel to embody the concept of “Creating Shared Value.”

Based on a simple, modern design concept, Hotel Cappuccino offers 141 guest rooms, three food and beverage outlets -- a cafe, restaurant and bar -- private function rooms, meeting rooms and a rooftop terrace to accommodate events of various sizes, a fitness center, a coin-operated laundry room and a lifestyle shop.

All guest room beds are custom made, with 2-square-meter super king-size beds provided in Cappuccino King Rooms and two queen-size beds, combinable to create a single bed measuring 2.8x2m, in each Super Double Room.

‘Chicago’ night at the theater with Sheraton Seoul D Cube 

Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel is offering the Musical “Chicago” Room Package, which includes tickets of the famous Broadway musical “Chicago” and a one-night stay at the hotel.

The package is for guests who want to enjoy the musical and a relaxing getaway at the hotel for a night.

The cast of the 2014 musical is back together for “Chicago,” which will be performed at the D-Cube Art Center, connected to the seventh floor of the hotel. Choi Jeong-won, Ivy, Lee Jong-hyuk and Jeon Su-kyung are returning to the stage this month.

The glamorous jazz performances and dancers’ sensuous movements on stage will please both the eyes and ears of guests.

The package includes a one-night stay in the hotel’s Deluxe room, and R or VIP seat tickets for the musical, which will run from Nov. 14-Jan. 30, 2016.

Snapper kaiseki at Genju

Genji, Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Japanese restaurant, said it would introduce a special kaiseki meal showcasing snapper that will be offered for a limited time throughout November.

The snapper kaiseki will feature nine courses with three different types of appetizers; a clear snapper soup; a variety of sashimi including hamachi, halibut, sea bass and salmon; grilled snapper with salt; steamed snapper with yams and pumpkin; fried snapper with shallots, shrimp and sweet potato; vinegared octopus; steamed rice with miso soup; and fresh fruit to top off the meal.

‘Turkey to Go’ from The Ritz-Carlton Seoul

As Thanksgiving Day approaches, The Ritz-Carlton Seoul has launched a limited edition “Turkey to Go Set,” available from The Ritz Deli from Nov. 11-30.

The set includes six dishes -- a 7-kilogram roast turkey, pumpkin pie, sage cornbread and apple stuffing, cranberry sauce and giblet gravy, seasonal roast vegetables, and sweet potato or mashed potato -- for a family party at home.

“Small gatherings like home parties and camping trips, ideal for spending a relaxing time with friends or family, are currently in fashion,” says Cho Yu-seung, manager of The Deli.

The Ritz-Carlton Seoul’s Turkey to Go Set is priced at 300,000 won for a whole turkey set, to serve 10-12 people, and 200,000 won for a half-turkey set for 5-6 people.
