BTS is the first K-pop group to make it to the chart’s top 10. It was also the song’s debut on the chart.
“Gangnam Style” star Psy took the No. 2 spot in 2012, staying there for seven weeks. But it took sometime for the track to be recognized on the chart.
“Fake Love” is the lead track of the band’s full-length album “Love Yourself: Tear,” which topped Billboard’s top albums chart, the Billboard 200.
For two consecutive years, BTS won the top social artist award at the Billboard Music Awards.
